2.1. To experimentally investigate overall and local microstructure, mechanical properties, ductility and fracture behavior of high strength pipeline steels produced by thermo-mechanical controlled hot rolling.
2.2. To describe and examine deformation mechanism in microstructure of pipeline steels under loading conditions according to tube forming process by means of FE RVE model on the micro-scale and nano-scale.
2.3. To determine local mechanical properties such as stress-strain behavior, toughness and critical areas of the deformed pipeline tube with regard to observed microstructure characteristics.
2.4. To apply the developed FE RVE model and damage criterion for predicting failure behavior of pipelines under application conditions.
