วัตถุประสงค์
:
- To develop a facile robust, cost-effective antibody mimic based on molecular imprinting technology as a synthetic receptor in an electrochemical sensor for selective detection of nitrofurantoin which has been banned from use in food producing animals due to its carcinogenic and mutagenic risk on humans who consume contaminated animal products.
- The resulting electrochemical MIP sensor will be used for monitoring of nitrofurantoin in animal feed purchased from retail markets in Thailand with an attempt to protect the consumers from contaminated products and raise the food security level of the country.
