1 To investigate the effect of topically application of cold specific agonist eg. menthol on dentine sensitivity in man.
2 To investigate the effect of pulpal inflammation on dentine sensitivity causes by hydrostatic pressure, cold, and osmotic stimuli in human subjects. Pulpal blood flow before and after pulp inflammation were recorded with a laser Doppler flowmeter. Fluid flow through dentine and dentinal fluid PGE2 levels before and after pulp inflammation were also investigated.
3 To compare the efficacy of red and infrared laser lights laser Doppler flowmeter for assessing pulpal blood flow in human teeth with the inflamed pulps.
