วัตถุประสงค์
:
The ultimate goals of this research are to propose the Median Intersection designs as an alternative concept to the highway intersection improvement projects in Chiang Mai; and to apply the analytical procedures to evaluate the operational and safety performances of the Median Intersection designs. The specific objectives are:
To develop the performance measures and their analytical procedures that best describe the mobility- and safety-related issues of Median Intersection designs;
To analyze the operational and safety performances at selected evaluation sites and propose the most efficient intersection design and control; and
To develop mathematical models that can estimate the operational and safety performances of median intersection designs.
