วัตถุประสงค์
:
1. To establish the methodology for the isolation, culture and expansion of mesenchymal stem cells and to use mesenchymal stem cells for enhancing the engraftment and reducing the incidence of graft-versus-host disease in patients with advanced leukemia who undergo haploidentical transplantation
2. To explore the most appropriate conditioning used in difficult patients with severe thalassemia who receive matched sibling stem cell transplantation
3. To study the role of matched unrelated stem cell transplantation either from bone marrow or cord blood
4. To study the effectiveness of autologous peripheral blood stem cell transplantation in CML patients who have a molecular remission after imatinib therapy
5. To study the use of autologous peripheral blood stem cell transplantation in severe non Hodgkin's lymphoma after response to biweekly R-CHOP therapy
6. To analyze the existing data on a case control study of leukemia in Thailand with particular emphasis on cellular phone use and other risk factors
